About Clayton:
Clayton is located near
the Pacific opening of the Panama Canal in Central America Ft. Clayton,
previously an US army base in the Canal Zone of Panama City. This base
was given to Panama in accordance with the Carter- Rojos Traty in
1999. The Panamal Canal is the 7th. wonder of the world, and the
rainforest are the most accessible pristine rainforest in the world,
and are just minutes away from the city. Clayton will also be the
headquarters for the "City of Knowledge", an area of the city
specially sanctioned for academic, technology, and non-profit
organizations. Clayton has commercial, residential and recreational
areas and will inevitably become a new pole for metropolitan growth.
Clayton’s road systems are in excellent condition and can easily be
connected with the city grid off base. Public services include the
aqueducts, sewage drainage, electricity and telecommunications.
Buildings all come with air conditioning systems as well. Potable
water comes from Miraflores Reservoir.
